Wills, Probate & Inheritance

How We Help
Making a will is an individual's way to ensure that his or her wishes are documented as to how to deal with their assets and provide for their dependants after their death.
Wills require Estate Planning involves making an efficient distribution of these assets and making provisions for Inheritance Tax and liabilities. Probate (Grant of Representation if there is no valid will at the time of death) is the sealed document issued by the court validating the executors appointed in a Will as personal representatives of the deceased.
We provide bespoke service of Wills Trust and Probate for our Property clients and their families and advise in relation to:
- Making mirror wills for spouses
- Creating legacies and trusts in wills
- Making living wills
- Making supplementary declarations upon uneven distribution of assets to avoid any potential disputes under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
- As a part of Probate administration - considering the family's financial situation and making a Deed of Variation with the consent of Executors and beneficiaries
- Administering the estate of the deceased according to the terms of the will, intestacy or Deed of Variation
We specialise in drafting, registering and if necessary cancelling Lasting Power of Attorneys and making applications to the Court of Protection for appointment of Deputy when a person you care about loses the mental ability to deal with their own finances and affairs.
